Safety Moments Library

A Safety Moment is a brief safety talk about a specific subject at the beginning of a meeting or shift. They can be done in a variety of ways, but are typically a 2-5 minute discussion on a safety related topic.

There are different opinions and views about Safety Moments and their effectiveness.

Based on our experience they are only effective if done properly. What do we mean by that?

They have to be:

  • Sustainable – not just a “one-off”.
  • Engaging – with meaningful content.
  • Specific – focused on the audience, background, experience, work-specific etc.
  • Purposeful – have meaning and not just talk “safety” because it’s the policy etc.

With the above in mind, we have the following “target audience” for our Safety Moments (in the APP) so that you can pick and choose as appropriate.
